Hello,
Our H1B/H4 status has been approved with 3 yr extension. We have an approved AP also. As of today, I am on H1 (don't want to use it) and my spouse is working using EAD (got the EAD as a resultant of my 485 dependent).
Now, I have two Q's?
1. Since she is working using EAD and now that her H4 extension is approved, will this approval invalidate her EAD ?
2. If we go for stamping (and that our H1/H4 will be stamped), will that stamping also invalidate my spouse's EAD ? We can very well come back using Advance Parole, but to be on safe side we want to get the stamping done (as others suggest). Don't know what would be the correct and best way. Appreciate your response and advice.

My employer mentioned that my job description is Senior Analyst in the application. Does that mean I have to be a Senior Analyst till the time I get GC ? Cant I take up another job like Architect ?

If I understand it right.. The whole House of Reps is up for re-elections every 2 years and 1/3 senate members get reelected at the same interval too...
Does any one know what happens to pending bills at the time of elections..Specifically regarding S2611...If say the conference committee reaches a compromise just before elections but for some reason they dont get to take a vote on it... Does the new senate and house carry the bill forward from that point or does the bill gets reset ?

What is the new fee structure from Aug.
Is there any use in waiting till next bulletin?

My wife's finger printing fee was rejected last month even though we sent the correct fee. We sent the fee again.
But in the mean while, we also recieved our finger printing notices. Does anyone know as when we would get our EADs ?

This is from the "What Would You Do?" series and the question explored is how customers in a restaurant will react to a security guard asking Latinos for their identification in a restaurant in southern Arizona. My last H1 transfer gave me a 3yr H1 approval. But in reality, this will make it 1 year more than the 6 years allowed. My Perm and 140 are approved before the 6th year ended and my company filed a H1B amendment request just a day before 6th year ended. It is still pending. Now, my wife is in india and she has to get back here for filing 485 in july. Can I use my existing H1 to apply for visa in this situation?
