Hi Folks
I am trying to get Visa Appointment for my Mom.
<> For Mumbai appointment how long is it taking ? any idea ?
This tool is supposed to provide the earliest available appt. date:
https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ApplnForms/EarliestDate.aspx
But does not show any date after all info is entered.
<> They want some fees to be paid via HDFC bank .
Is there a way , I can do it sitting in USA ?
<>My Mom is a working professional having her own enterprise in India. She got 10 year Multiple Entry visa in past. How will they view her application ? will it have ANY bearing on the fact that I applied for GC and my PD is now current ?

I have MS+2 yrs of experience(software engineer). The company i am thinking to join is in Boston.
I am guessing boston is a highly educated town with many young graduates roaming around. Having said that, will this be an issue while we send out an ad for MS+2 yrs as there might be several responses to the ad and refuting all of them would be difficult ?
Please let me know, if I am THINKING CRAZY or this is TRUE. Another option i have is a company in chicago. Not sure where will I be better off as far as GC is concerned.
Also, anybody heard of MONIQUE KORNFELD immigration attorney based out of Newton, Massachussets ??? If so, please let me know about her expertise. I JUST can't find out how many yrs she has been practising immigration.

I sent the applications(I-140,I-485,I-131,I-765)to Nebraska center 3 weeks ago and it was received by them on December 17,2007(because I tracked the FedEx package).Until today,no receipts yet and my checks are not cashed yet and the receipting update says Current for Nebraska, is the normal or there is something wrong?

gcformeornot is correct. You cannot "transfer" an I-140 approval, but you can keep and use the PD for any subsequent I-140. Once a new LC is approved, a copy of the I-140 approval notice with the 10/2007 PD should be included in the new I-140 submission along with a request to use the old PD on the new I-140 approval notice.

Hello everyone,
I had come and been living in California since Feb 2010 under F1 visa.
My mom filed the form I-130 to petition me last year when my PD was current (Dec 2010), I filed the form I-485 to AOS. I got fingerprint done and was issued the EAD card plus a valid SSN and Alien number also. And last week I just got the INterview done at the local USCIS. Unfortunately, the officer said because the retrogression of visa bulletin, my PD wasnt current anymore, and all the paperwork was sent to NBC to be saved there and when my PD comes, they will issue me my GC.
I am currently going to school, and Im wondering if Im qualified for FAFSA, and am I considered as CA resident so that I dont hav to pay out-of-state resident?
Also, I will be filling out my transfer application to a university this FALL (Im going to a Community College now), what should I write for my immigration status and etc?
I will rly appreciate ur feedback!

Where can i get photos for the Canadian visa. they have different specs. from the US pp photograph. I have already checked- Costco, USPS and the other stores.

My law firm applied my EAD/AP/485 on Aug 13th. I got my Receipt Notices for all three.
My question is where does USCIS send the FP Notice and EAD?
Do they send it to my house address or lawyer?

My 140 was filed under EB3 this month. When can I file for 485? Should I wait untill 140 is approved?

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Notice returned as undeliverable.
On May 14, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I have not moved in 2 years and have been receiving notices, EAD cards etc. at this address. I called Uscis and gave them my address again.
Has this happened to anyone before? How long has it taken to resolve the situation. Did you contact your local post office?
