Hi,
Is it possible for a resident of Pune to apply for a tourist visa at the Hyderabad consulate? The Mumbai consulate doesn't seem to have any openings online, so not sure how to make an appt with the Mumbai consulate..

Dear All,
Today i read that their is a new law prohibiting the employers from filling multiple applications for the same employee.
I have applied with 2 companies,as an employee , i have two different employers, who will file application for me.
Is it against the current law or ?
Pls help me asap , so that i can stop atleast one of the employer , if needed to file the application.

New numbers are out on H-1B usage and the past week showed a substantial pickup in usage with more than 1700 numbers counted against the cap of 65,000. 36,600 H-1Bs have been counted now. I'm moving my exhaustion projection date up about two weeks. My target is based on a rolling four week usage average so variations from week to week are discounted. Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?

I got the following case status update yesterday:
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Notice returned as undeliverable.
On May 14, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I have not moved in 2 years and have been receiving notices, EAD cards etc. at this address. I called Uscis and gave them my address again.
Has this happened to anyone before? How long has it taken to resolve the situation. Did you contact your local post office?

Thanks for maintaining excellent site and answering all sorts of different complex questions.
Now my story.
I am going to apply in next H1B quota and was having below queries:
1. I am confuse about what kind of h1b interview questions will be ask by consulate officer
2. Will they ask my previous work experience letter.. because currently I am in Australia and my work experience was in India and there's no way I can have letter now.
3. How's the job market for Enterprise Oracle DBA
4. And Do I need to keep any extra precautions from start in order to be safe from all future legal problems being a consultant.

One can contiue to stay using I-485 receipt without valid I-94. afasik I-797 can be used only if you filed H1 extention after you came back on parolee.
If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?

my wife went to mumbai embassy. after intw they said they need some more info in their systems before issuing the visa. It was h1 renewing. But they didn't keep the passport. Told to submit the passport after they sent email or call you. They did sent the email to submit the passport within 2 days.
